Tonya, a singer from the Ukrainian children's choir "Shchedryk," sets off to New York. She will participate in a holiday concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of the performance of a Ukrainian carol "Shchedryk" at Carnegie Hall. There, a fantastic event occurs to the girl, revealing the mystery of the past. Then Tonya herself accomplishes something extraordinary, so the whole world will talk about it!
"When I wrote this book, I aimed to tell an interesting story about how history repeats itself. And such a repetition of history, where people talk and sing about their culture, is necessary for all of us. At the same time, my heart is heavy. History repeats itself also because Russia is again waging the war in Ukraine, trying to destroy us and our culture. So, I hope that this seemingly light and fantastic book will tell about the difficult and courageous struggle of Ukrainians as a nation. A struggle to live and preserve our roots."
